Ender 3 in Blender 3
Hello from Ukraine.
I use this model to simulate upgrades. I check how upgrades from the Internet fit the printer before printing.
Furthermore, I change upgrades from the Internet for the printer if they are not suitable, or they are generally for another printer.
Non-destructive??? This means that many parts have a very small mesh, and some are made from the same mesh data block or even from the same single vertex (Corona Vertex:). The magic is in the modifiers, which in theory makes it easy to change the model (if you're familiar enough with blender). The most commonly used modifiers are: Array, Bevel, Boolean, Mirror, Screw and Solidify. But not all the details are done this way, I didn’t want to waste time on some. There are a lot of parent relationships between objects, and some movement restrictions for the axes. I also tried to make the wires and make them bend, but it didn't work out very well. But their main goal is that I do not forget about them when I model the upgrade.
I tried to model every detail as accurately as possible based on my personal printer that I bought in 2019. But I had to build several other printers in 2021, and there were small changes in different copies.
The main differences that I noticed:
The extruder feed gear is pressed onto the motor shaft.
And this motor shaft can be cut flush with the gear.
A bolt has been added to increase the filament pressure.
Another belt tensioners.
Another holder Y axis endstop.
Another electronics motherboard.
The radiator is not red, but silver.
P.S. By the way, I bought the version with glass, so it is in the model. But now I use 2mm glass ;)
